Devoted to Breaking Bread

Jun 14, 2026    Andrew Masterjohn

There is something that happens around a table that doesn't happen anywhere else.

The early church knew this. And they devoted themselves to it. Not just to communion, but to actual meals together.

Real tables.

Real homes.

Real conversation.

Both the sacred table and the dinner table were expressions of the same devotion.

In this message, week three of our series Devoted, we look at the breaking of bread. What it meant for the early church to eat together. What communion actually is and what it asks of us. And where every table, every shared meal, every broken piece of bread has always been pointing.

There is a feast coming. And every time we come to this table, we are declaring: we believe it.
