Covered at the Core
When everything is coming at you at once, what do you reach for?
Most of us have something. Something familiar. Something comfortable. Something ours. And when the life takes a hard turn, it's the first thing we reach for to feel safe.
But feeling safe and being safe are not the same thing. And the difference shows up under pressure.
In week two of Bulletproof: Armored for Life, we open Ephesians 6 and look at the first three pieces of armor Paul hands this church: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and feet fitted with the gospel of peace. Not one of them is ours, but they are given to us.
So where do you go when you need to know who you are? What covers your heart when the accusation is true? What are you standing on when the ground moves?
This is message two of Bulletproof: Armored for Life, a four-week series in Ephesians 6.
