How long does joy last?
When it is a mood based on your circumstances, it usually only lasts as long as the good thing does.
But the Bible tells us that joy is not a feeling, it is a fruit - something that grows out of who is already living in you, and it turns up in places nobody would think to look for it.
Which means joy is not reserved for the people having a good year. It is not waiting on your circumstances to improve, and it does not run out when the occasion does.
Joy is found in the Lord, and in Him, there is no part of your life left joyless.
This is message three of House Style.
