Letting Go of Control
When it's time to make plans, who is in charge? Is it you, or is it God?
This week we are finishing James 4 and learning what it looks like to let go of control. James isn’t saying we shouldn’t plan. He is saying we shouldn’t plan without God. Because life is short. We’re not promised five minutes, let alone five years. And sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is hold our calendar with open hands and say, “If the Lord wills.”
In this message, we talk about control, surrender, and the kind of obedience that brings us back under the covering of God’s will. If you’ve been wrestling with pride, plans, or just trying to figure out what God wants for your life… this one’s for you. We need to see what happens when we let go of control and trust God. Because sometimes our need for control is keeping us from a faith that is fully alive.
